All you need to know about Bracknell Forest Pride 2024

If you're coming to Bracknell Forest Pride on Saturday 20 July, here is what you need to know.

What Bracknell Forest Pride is

The family friendly event will celebrate and support the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. It will be about welcoming local people in unity and solidarity, enjoying the day in love and friendship.

There will be free music and entertainment, as well as gazebos with support organisations, food and drink.

Dates and timings

Bracknell Forest Pride is on Saturday 20 July. It starts at 11am in Bond Square, The Lexicon (between M&S and Waitrose). The first hour will be a quiet hour, where visitors can speak with organisations for support and advice before acts take to the stage at midday.

The last performance will finish at around 7pm. You can read the full list of musical acts on The Lexicon's Pride webpage.

Attendees can watch performers, get their face painted, and get glammed up with glitter all free of charge.

Prices apply at food and drink stalls.

Parades and after parties

For the first time, there will be an accessible parade around the town centre, that everyone can be involved in. The parade will start at 11.45am from outside Easthampstead House.

There is no official after party, but guests are welcome to enjoy the sights of The Lexicon and other areas of Bracknell Forest after the last act finishes.

Pets policy

Dogs are welcome on site. However, the event can be noisy and there is limited shelter, so discretion is advised. It might be warm weather too, so bear that in mind.

Ticketing

Bracknell Forest Pride is free to enter and not ticketed. Everyone is welcome!

Children welcome

Children are welcome as we are a family friendly event and encourage everyone to come along. We do ask that young children are supervised at all times. Performers are briefed that the event is family friendly and all material must be suitable for our younger guests.

Clothing policy

There is no particular dress attire, other than to bring as much colour and sparkle to the celebrations as you can!

Parking

There are a number of car parks within easy reach of Bond Square. You can find these on The Lexicon parking page.

Train travel

If you are travelling by train, there will be a signage at the station directing travellers to Bond Square.

Photography

We will have a photographer and a videographer on site to take photos and film the event. These photos will be used for communications and marketing purposes by Bracknell Forest Council, The Lexicon and other partners involved in running Pride.
