Use this form to tell us about your intention to demolish a building exceeding 50 cubic metres.
There is a fee of £237.
You should submit this notice no less than 6 weeks prior to the intended date for the demolition.
When we receive this notice from you, the council will issue a counter notice under Section 81(1) of the Building Act 1984 specifying requirements relating to the demolition.
Failure to notify the council in line with the provisions of the Building Act 1984 Section 80(2) could render you liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £2,500.
No demolition work should start before you receive the counter notice.
