Building site inspections
An officer will only come out on a site visit if a valid building regulations application has been submitted and a start notice given.
Under Regulation 16 (1), work cannot begin until start notice has been given and at least 2 days have passed since the end of day it was given.
A standard 16 (1) notice is available from Building Control Forms.
Requests for site inspections are viewed at 4pm every weekday afternoon. An inspection will then be arranged depending on availability.
The site inspections usually take place between 10am and 2pm. Make sure someone is available at the property between these times on the requested date.
