You can use our online planning register to:

  • view planning applications
  • view applications for works to protected trees
  • comment on live planning applications
  • view decisions about what has been approved or refused by the council
  • register to be notified by email about new planning applications in your area
  • track progress of current planning applications

You must include your name and full postal address.  Failure to do so may result in your comments not being taken into account.

Limitations to the online planning register

The online planning history contained within the site may be incomplete. It is not intended, and must not be used, as a substitute for carrying out a formal land charge search.

Bracknell Forest Council accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions in the planning history information and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal land charges search.

The information displayed within the online planning register does not constitute a formal notification of a planning decision to applicants or agent and, as such, any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer's own risk.

Timescales

Under normal circumstances the plans and documents associated with new planning applications can be viewed within 1 working day of receipt of a valid application.

If documents are not available you may wish to try later or alternatively you will be able to view the application and associated documents at the council’s Time Square office in Bracknell during office hours.

Your comments and personal information

Under the Local Government (Access to Information Act 1985) your comments will be made available for public inspection at the council's Time Square office as well as being available for viewing online.

All written comments received will be available for inspection on our website and copied to The Planning Inspectorate in the event of an appeal.

This includes your name and address, but the council will make every effort to make sure that personal telephone numbers, email addresses and signatures are not published on the website.

You should only include information in your comments that you are happy to be seen by the public and made available on our website.

Your comments should not include personal information you do not want in the public domain, inappropriate or offensive material.

Inappropriate material will be removed from our website if it is brought to our attention.

The information you have provided will be used for planning purposes only and will be handled in line with the General Data Protection regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Copyright and document restrictions

Plans, drawing and material submitted to the council are protected by the Copyright Acts (Section 47, 1988 Act). You may only use material which is downloaded and/or printed for consultation purposes, to compare current applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in line with approved plans. Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.
