Background
Following adoption of the Bracknell Forest Local Plan, we have produced a Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to supplement these housing related policies:
- LP16 – affordable housing
- LP17 – provision of specialist housing for older people
- LP37 – protection of existing housing stock and land
- LP38 – accessible and adaptable dwellings
- LP39 – specialist housing
- LP40 – housing mix
This SPD has been produced jointly by our Planning and Housing teams.
The council resolved to approve the adoption of the Housing SPD at the 18 March 2025 Cabinet meeting. The decision came into effect on 27 March 2025.
It is a material consideration in the determination of planning applications. It supersedes section 5.8 of the Planning Obligations SPD.
