Emergency first aid at work: June 2025

This is a 6-hour accredited course for those who may need to manage a first aid situation in their workplace.

This is a theoretical and practical course for:

  • those who may need to provide first-aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill in the workplace
  • instructors and trainers running small classes
  • those who would just like to gain some first aid skills and knowledge

The course is delivered in a relaxed, friendly and informative way.

On passing the exam you will get an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate (valid for 3 years).

Entry requirements

No previous experience is required.

In order to gain the certificate you must be fit and able to turn someone into recovery position and demonstrate effective CPR.

Material required for the course

Bring a pen and paper. 

Wear suitable clothing for practical skills (recovery position).

Teaching method

Learning will take place in a relaxed enjoyable session. 

Various teaching methods will be used supported by practical sessions.

Assessment

Learners practical skills will be continually assessed. Learners will complete a multiple choice exam at the end of the day.
