The Essential Digital Skills qualifications (EDSQs) equip individuals with the necessary skills to safely navigate, engage with, and actively contribute to the digital world. These qualifications are particularly beneficial for those aiming to enhance their digital competencies to function more effectively in everyday life.
Essential Digital Skills qualifications (EDSQ) are mapped to national standards for basic digital literacy. Those with no or low digital skills are now entitled to take the qualification free of charge. The EDSQ framework defines the digital skills adults need to safely benefit from, participate in and contribute to the digital world.
The qualifications cover five key topics: using devices and handling information, creating and editing using apps, communicating electronically, e-commerce transactions online and being safe and responsible online.
