Funding rates are calculated in the spring term each year. Changes are effective from the summer term of that year.
Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)
The EYPP element is paid on funded hours claimed for a child eligible for EYPP funding.

Targeted 2-year-old funding (Families Receiving Additional Support)
Targeted 2-year-old funding is applied to Targeted 2 hours, not to any Working Parent hours if claimed. Targeted 2-year-old funding is soon to be known as Families Receiving Additional Support (FRAS).
EYPP
EYPP supplements are:
- paid for any child eligible for EYPP
- applied to:
- Targeted 2 hours
- Universal 3 & 4 hours
- the first 15 hours of 2-year-old and under Working Parent hours only
EYPP is not applied if a child is Targeted 2 but only claiming Working Parent hours.
Deprivation Supplement
Deprivation Supplement is:
- paid for any child eligible for EYPP
- applied to Targeted 2 hours, Universal 3 & 4 hours, or the first 15 hours of 2-year-old and under Working Parent hours only
- not applied if a child is Targeted 2 but only claiming Working Parent hours
