The Mayor’s Consort supports the Mayor during engagements when they are representing the Borough of Bracknell Forest.
The Consort will never carry out engagements on their own.
If the Mayor chooses a companion, they would be known as 'The Mayoress/Mayor’s Consort' of the Borough of Bracknell Forest and informally as 'Mr or Madam Mayor', 'Mayoress' or 'Mayor’s Consort'.
The Mayor’s companion does not have to be their partner.
