This week, Monday 17 June to Sunday 23 June is Refugee Week. The aim is to help refugees and asylum seekers to live safely within inclusive and resilient communities, where they can continue to make a valuable contribution to society.
Refugee Week activities work towards this vision by helping to bring about more informed and welcoming attitudes towards refugees and asylum seekers.
This year’s theme
The theme for this year is ‘Our Home’, where people are being invited to celebrate what this means to them. From the places we gather to share meals, to our collective home planet earth, the organisers of Refugee Week want to hear from you.
Simple Acts
Simple Acts are everyday actions we can all do to stand with refugees and make new connections in our communities.
By simply taking part in and learning about Refugee Week, you’ll be part of a movement of people everywhere taking small steps to create a big change.
