Directorate service plans

Service plans describe how each directorate is working towards the delivery of the Council Plan strategic themes and objectives. Each year a new service plan is established defining the priorities for the coming financial year.

The service plans also contain key performance indicators (KPIs). These reflect the progress of actions and corporate monitoring of operations. KPIs are reported on in the quarterly service reports.

The plans include:

  • an overview of the work and structure of the directorate
  • a summary of the directorate’s budget position
  • details of how priorities link to the council plan key objectives and wider strategies
  • specific additional operational priorities that are strategic to service delivery

Service plans are updated each year with any new actions for the next period and to remove completed priorities.
