The third Bracknell Forest Community Climate Summit is a bit different this year. The event will be held on 2 days, at 2 different locations, to allow as many people as possible to get involved.
This year, Bracknell Forest Community Climate Action (BFCCA) is leading the summit, supported by Bracknell Forest Council. Following the success of the previous 2 summits, everyone living and working in the borough is encouraged to attend the event on either Wednesday 16 July or Friday 18 July.
If you would like to learn more about climate change, find out about what climate action is happening in the borough, and discover how you can be part of the transition to a net-zero future, then register your free place to attend.
Come along to:
- listen to a keynote on the importance of tackling climate change, by Professor Ian Candy
- hear about and contribute to the development of the community climate strategy with BFCCA representatives
- visit stalls and displays offering information on local sustainability activities, as well as show-and-tell demonstrations from local organisations and businesses
- attend a workshop:
- understanding the climate crisis and its impacts
- building our net-zero electricity system
- all about electric vehicles (EVs): common myths and misconceptions
- energy, insight, action: a community sustainability journey (Wednesday 16 July)
- sustainability at Wellington College (Friday 18 July)
- the impact of climate change on UK wildlife
- how nature fires up our brain
Registration is essential - reserve your free place by Friday 11 July.
