Remembrance Sunday is this Sunday 9 November. Every November across the United Kingdom we remember the service and sacrifice of the people who defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
There are a number of events taking place across Bracknell Forest to mark this important day. These include parades, church services and wreath laying.
Bracknell town centre
The Royal British Legion's Poppy Shop is open at The Lexicon Bracknell (next to River Island) until Friday 7 November. Pop along between 10am and 4pm to purchase:
- the 2025 poppy pin
- traditional paper poppies
- a wide range of Royal British Legion merchandise
A number of giant poppies have been installed across Bracknell Forest over the past week. These will remain in place until after Armistice Day, signifying the borough’s thanks to all our armed personnel, their families, and our veterans.
Bracknell Town Council will host a Remembrance Parade on Sunday 9 November.
The parade will begin at 10:40am outside Princess Square, before moving through the town centre and The Lexicon Bracknell. Everyone is welcome to line the route and pay their respects.
Please allow extra time for travel and parking and be aware that there will be photography at the event. Full event information and parade route map available on the Bracknell Town Council Facebook page.
Bracknell Town FC host Didcot Town in the Bucks and Berks County Cup on Monday 10 November. Kick off is at 7:45pm at the SB Stadium.
