Larchwood offers personalised respite care for children with disabilities and complex needs. The team provides a safe, supportive place where children can enjoy time away from home, build confidence and have fun.

In their report, Ofsted praised Larchwood for providing children with:

  • an exceptionally high-quality experience in a home where they are consistently nurtured and well cared for
  • strong, trusting and meaningful relationships with staff which helped them feel safe, valued and emotionally secure
  • supportive staff who allowed them to explore and express their emotions early in the visit, allowing care to be adapted thoughtfully to meet each of their emotional needs
  • creative and consistent staff who ensure children enjoy their time at the home and support them to form positive relationships with their peers

The report also noted the feedback from professionals and parents which highlights the significant positive impact of the service.
