Residents are invited to have their say on local bus services. Bracknell Forest Council is asking residents to complete a short online survey to give their views on routes the council supports to ensure they remain fit for purpose, provide value for money and connect people to where they want to go.
The council contributes financially towards selected bus routes in the borough. These are known as supported services. Together, the supported routes and commercially operated routes combine to form the local bus network. Supported services include:
- 53
- 108
- 150
- 156
- 157/158
The survey can be completed online until Monday 30 November. On the same website, there is also an interactive map where residents can:
- indicate regular journeys, regardless of the mode of travel
- highlight areas where residents want to see bus-related improvements
Paper copies of the survey will also be available in local libraries for those without internet access.
Cllr Guy Gillbe, cabinet member for planning, transport and countryside, said:
“We recognise the important role local bus services play for many people. As we start planning for new bus contracts, we want to make sure routes and services reflect what people want and need as much as possible. If residents experience an issue with a bus stop, or the route to a bus stop, we want to hear about those too.”
All feedback received will help shape proposals for future supported bus routes. A consultation is expected to take place during summer 2027.
