Easthampstead Park Cemetery and Crematorium is celebrating after being rated outstanding by inspectors from the Federation of Burial and Cremation Authorities.
Following an inspection in September, the cemetery and crematorium achieved an impressive score of 705 out of 735 (96%), with outstanding ratings across most areas of its service.
The outstanding assessment areas, included:
- cremation administration
- ceremony facilities
- cremation facilities
- grounds and memorialisation
- service and staff
- environmental
In the report, the inspector praised the consistently high standards, professional staff, and the dignified care offered to every family. The report also recognised the quality of service, well-maintained grounds and the team's dedication to providing a calm and respectful experience throughout.
Cllr Iskandar Jefferies, cabinet member for leisure, culture, public protection and democracy, said:

It reflects the commitment of our staff in maintaining excellent standards across every aspect of the service, from supporting families and funeral directors, to caring for the grounds and facilities. This inspection recognises the professionalism and dedication of our cemetery and crematorium team, who work tirelessly to provide a respectful and dignified service to every family."
