More council services will soon be located under one roof, following approval by Bracknell Forest Council’s Cabinet to dispose of a property at Waterside Park.
The disposal was agreed at Cabinet on Tuesday 3 November and means proposals to move several adult social care teams to its Time Square headquarters can progress.
The move will make better use of available space at Time Square by bringing teams together in one main location. Moving staff closer to other council services will also make it easier for teams to work together and share support.
Residents will continue to receive the same services, with a new assessment room being created at Time Square. Access to the new room will be easier for residents due to the town centre location, associated public transport links and access to cycle routes.
To support the move, work will be carried out at Time Square, including the creation of office areas and a dedicated IT network. The relocation of staff is expected to be phased, to help minimise disruption to services.
Cllr Paul Bidwell, cabinet member for economic development and regeneration, said:
"This move allows us to make better use of the space we already have at Time Square. Bringing teams together in one location means they can work more closely, making it easier for staff to support residents.
“Over the coming months, Time Square will be prepared for the arrival of the teams, including the creation of dedicated space and the installation of a new computer network. Teams will be moved gradually, and the expectation is that staff from Waterside Park will relocate to Time Square in early 2027.”
