LGBT+ History Month 2022

Bracknell Forest Council is proud to recognise and celebrate Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) History Month this February.

We will be flying the Pride progress flag, lighting up our Time Square building and changing our logo on social media to celebrate.

Vaccination bus coming to Bracknell Forest

From Monday 31 January a vaccination bus will be in the borough with experts on hand to help answer any questions or address any concerns that residents may have around the COVID-19 vaccine.

Energy efficiency support for residents

A number of energy efficiency schemes are available to assist vulnerable residents in the borough with the rising costs of gas and electricity.

We are offering support to the elderly, those living with significant health issues and those in the least energy efficient homes.

Holocaust Memorial Day 2022

Each year, Holocaust Memorial Day takes place on 27 January.

It is a day to remember the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of other people killed under Nazi persecution and in genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur.

Changes to COVID-19 testing

From Monday 11 January, in England, people who receive positive lateral flow test results for COVID-19 will be required to self-isolate immediately and won’t be required to take a confirmatory PCR test.

Care provider appointed to the new Heathlands Care Home

Windsar Care, a care provider specialising in supporting people living with dementia, has been appointed to manage the residential service within the new Bracknell Forest Heathlands development when it opens early this year.
