New Youth Employment Hub opens in Bracknell Forest

Group gathered for launch of the Youth Employment Hub

A new Youth Employment Hub has officially opened its doors in Bracknell Forest. The hub offers free support to young people aged 18 to 24 who are claiming Universal Credit, to support them in finding work, training or to help them decide their next steps.

The hub provides friendly, personalised guidance in a safe and welcoming space. Its aim is to help local young people build confidence, explore their options and move closer to meaningful employment or education.

The hub offers a range of support, including:

  • one to one advice from experienced employment coaches
  • help with job searching and applications
  • CV and interview guidance
  • access to training and skills development
  • support to identify suitable career paths
  • a welcoming space to talk through challenges and goals

The hub’s launch event on Friday 13 March brought together a wide network of local supporters, highlighting the community wide commitment to helping young people thrive. Attendees included Bracknell Forest councillors, representatives from the department for work and pensions (DWP), The Lexicon, Involve, Everyone Active, Resource Productions and the local MP.

Cllr Paul Bidwell, cabinet member for economy, regeneration and finance, said:

“Yesterday’s launch showcased the strength of partnership in Bracknell Forest. Together, we are building opportunities that will help young people in our community. The Youth Employment Hub is a vital resource. It reflects our commitment to giving every young person the chance to succeed, no matter their starting point. By working closely with local employers and community organisations, we’re creating pathways that can genuinely change lives and strengthen Bracknell Forest’s future workforce.”

Shawn Frost, service leader at DWP, said:

“Bracknell Youth Employment Hub will give young people the support, confidence and opportunities they need to move forward. By bringing employers, partners and our work coaches under one roof, we’re creating a space where every young person can see a future for themselves.”
