Approximately 80% of year one activity has been delivered, with the shortfall being largely due to capacity restraints. The team structure and resources have been now implemented and the remaining activity will be rolled over to year 2 of the programme.
Phase 1 of the improvements to the IT system are complete and the system is live, with further work on phase 2 planned for next year.
The asset management strategy has been drafted and will shortly go through the governance process for adoption.
Good progress is being made on other workstreams and work on the depot site is currently on hold pending discussions with affordable housing providers.

1,590 permits were received in quarter 4, a total of 5,825 during 2024 to 2025. All are processed in accordance with the Bracknell Forest Street Works Permit Scheme which is designed to minimise all possible disruption.
There has been significant change in the street works industry during 2024 to 2025. There is much more change planned in 2025 to 2026.
We are currently considering applying for new powers to enable us to charge for working on the busiest roads at the busiest times

The final quarter of the first year of the economic strategy continues to progress well. The monitoring reports for the quarter 1, quarter 2 and quarter 3 have been published on the council website.
Progress is being made by the Bracknell Forest Economic Partnership. The third meeting was held early April 2025. Following discussions, it has set out priority actions to focus on for the forthcoming 4 to 6 months. These will seek to address the actions on the monitoring report that are red. The next step is to create working groups for each priority.
The Bracknell Forest Economic Partnership also oversees the successful implementation of the strategy, they provide challenge and insight to support the vision, objectives, and actions of Bracknell Forest Economic Strategy.
