Parents and carers looking for fun things to keep their children entertained this half term can find a huge range activities on offer in Bracknell Forest.
The borough has so many green spaces and parks to explore with fun, free activities to do.
Outdoors
Lily Hill Park has:
- carved sculptures such as the Green Man and the Story Telling Throne
- the amphitheatre
- the balance beam tree
- the world’s largest picnic bench.

South Hill Park has:
- educational nature trail with wildlife themed wood carvings
- a maze

Jennett’s Hill has:
- multi-use games areas (MUGAs) including a basketball court
- play areas for all ages

The libraries are running craft drop-ins for children aged 2 to 7 years. It's £1 per child.
Scavenger hunts
Crowthorne Library and Great Hollands Library are offering a free scavenger hunt all week during opening hours. This is for children aged 2 to 7 years.
Author visit
On Saturday 24 May, local author Ellie Brown will be visiting Bracknell Library to read her books Marvelous Magic, and The Little Red Kite.
Family hub activities
Join one of our stay and play sessions at our family hubs over half term. Sessions are free and you don't have to book.

The Look Out Discovery Centre
The Look Out Discovery Centre has:

Blooming fun at The Lexicon
The Lexicon has teamed up with Little Muddy Boots to help learn about creating colourful garden or window box displays using bright fruit and vegetables and fabulous blooms.
Visit the pop-up garden space in Union Square from Saturday, 24 May to Sunday, 1 June (excluding Monday, 26 May), from 11am to 4pm. The team from Little Muddy Boots will be on hand to show how easy it is to bring colour into your garden space.
On Monday, 26 May, there will be face painters in Union Square with flower designs for young visitors.
